Microsoft's Atlas Publisher Suite adds nine new clients

Press Release|01.07.08

London — 17th June, 2008

Microsoft Corp. today announced that nine publishers have selected the Atlas Suite as their ad serving provider of choice  in the first half of this year, marking a sign of strong momentum for the Atlas and Microsoft Advertising business. The new customers for Atlas are Antevenio, El Confidencial, Gaming Portals, LevelField, Moneyfacts.co.uk, Publiesis, ThinkDigital, We7 and Web Financial Group.

Atlas, part of Microsoft’s acquisition of aQuantive in May 2007, now falls under the new brand ‘Microsoft Advertising’ and provides cutting edge digital media technologies for publishers, advertisers and agencies. Over the past year, Atlas has signed more than 100 new publishers to the Microsoft platform, bringing its total publisher customer base to over 250 companies. Atlas now serves nearly 7.6 billion ad impressions daily – equating to roughly 88,300 ads a second – and recently surpassed the five trillion mark for ads served1.

Moneyfacts.co.uk, one of the UK's leading independent financial comparison websites, decided to switch from another ad serving provider in March 2008.  Stephen Rumbelow, Head of ecommerce, commented, “We were impressed with the real time element of Atlas’ service, the flexibility of their targeting and the optimisation suite.”

One of Spain’s biggest local display Ad Network, Antevenio has also switched to Atlas. Antevenio are now one of the largest of Atlas’ clients, providing over one billion impressions per month2. This deal provides Antevenio with access to the AdManager tool, Geo Targeting, Publisher Registration Point Modules and the DRIVEpm service.

“We decided to work with Atlas due to the exceptional value of the service” said Joshua Novick, CEO, Antevenio ”We have chosen to use their AdManager service to handle advertising and the fact that Atlas can also offer us superior targeting services is an added bonus”

Atlas AdManager provides clients such as Antevenio and Moneyfacts.co.uk with exceptional flexibility in scheduling and targeting their ad campaigns, to help them more effectively reach their target audience segments. This can help publishers generate more revenue due to innovative ways to price and package inventory and enhanced inventory forecasting.

“We are extremely pleased with how quickly the market has embraced Atlas as part of Microsoft and the value provided by the Atlas Publisher Suite,” said Richard Dunmall, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Microsoft Advertiser and Publisher Solutions. “Publishers are voting with their finances in mind. They are choosing Atlas because it can create quantifiable value, more control and increasingly effective ways for them to monetize their ad inventory.”
