Homepage Peelback

1. The user visits the MSN Home Page. Upon page load, a 180x90 Page Peel corner with light animation appears in the top right corner of the page.
2. With soft animation, the Page Peel expands slightly to draw attention and then stops in the resting position with a call to action to open the full experience.
3. Upon a user’s mouse over, the ad and the Page Peel expands from resting state to the full 750x550 Peelback experience.
   1. The Peelback experience will stay expanded for 8 seconds, at which point it will retract back into the 180x90 Page Peel.
   2. The user may close the Peelback experience at any time by clicking "close ad."

Key Design Points

1. The experience includes three assets:
   1. The 180x90 Page Peel component
   2. The 750x550 Peelback Panel component
   3. The 300x250 display ad
2. The Peelback Panel component:
   1. Is always user-initiated, with a user’s mouse over event
   2. Must include a “close” button.
   3. Must not remain expanded for longer than 8 seconds.
      
      If the component includes additional interactive features, the Peelback Panel may remain open for a duration that is appropriate to the creation. Example 1: If the Peelback Panel contains a video, it may remain expanded for the full duration of the video. Example 2: If the Peelback Panel contains an interactive game, it may stay open until the user’s mouse leaves the 750x550 stage area.

• 300x250 creative must feature a 1 pixel border (gray [#666666] or black recommended, though any color that clearly distinguishes the ad from the content may be used).

Click-initiated audio is permitted in either the 300x250 display ad or the Peel Back element; click-initiated companion audio is accepted in either the 300x250 display ad or Peel Back element in executions that use video.

Video Specification

1. Video is not permitted within the execution's Page Peel component.
2. Host-initiated video may be used in any portion of the 300x250 display ad or fully initiated Peel Back.
3. Video duration: 30 seconds.
4. All companion audio must be click-initiated by the user.
   1. If audio is used, creative must include a mute button or an automatic on/off toggle.
5. Video replays must be user-initiated.

Additional Creative

1. Video and other “politely” downloaded assets are acceptable.
2. The maximum size for any video asset is 2.2MB.
