Negative Keyword Enhancements

New negative keyword features, such as Exact Match, and insights into keyword conflicts help improve campaign performance; retirement of keyword-level negative keywords helps simplify account management.
  • To make adCenter more consistent with the way negative keywords are handled by other search advertising platforms, we are no longer supporting negative keywords at the keyword level.
  • All negative keywords must now be set at the campaign or ad group level, which will reduce account size and simplify account management.
  • Now you can set Exact Match negative keywords for even greater precision in filtering unwanted search traffic, which means greater campaign performance potential. Desktop users: Please note that this feature is only available in the latest version of adCenter Desktop, version 8.1.111. Remember to upgrade when you see the upgrade prompt in the tool.
  • Receive an alert in the Ad Delivery column in the UI when you have negative keywords in conflict with bidded keywords, allowing you to take action and resolve issues quickly.
  • Use the new Negative Keyword Conflicts report to learn if you have set any negative keywords that are same as your bidded keywords. This will help resolve any conflicts between negative and bidded keywords and potentially help improve performance.
