New and improved adCenter features
With the latest upgrades, you’ll find new and improved features to help boost your campaign performance by making it easier to manage your search and content advertising strategies.
March
- Easily view information on issues that affect your ad delivery status.
- A new filter in the Delivery column on the Campaign tab allows you to easily view issues that affect your ad delivery status at the campaign, ad-group, and keyword levels.
- Now you can easily view information on budget depletion, pending editorial reviews, negative keyword conflicts, or bids that result in non-first-page ad positions — allowing you to quickly identify issues and opportunities.
- More easily manage negative keywords with negative keyword unionization.
- Previously, if you established negative keywords at both the ad-group and campaign levels, adCenter would use only the ad-group level negative keywords to filter traffic.
- Now, adCenter applies negative keywords from all levels throughout your account hierarchy to filter traffic. So if you established the keyword “black socks” at the ad-group level, and “gym socks” at the campaign level, adCenter would use both terms to filter traffic.
- This change helps ensure that adCenter is delivering your ad in response to only the most relevant queries.
- You should check your negative keywords at all levels of your campaign to ensure that they’re still filtering traffic as desired.
- Get a better understanding of your impression share with Share of Voice data.
- You can now access additional information that helps you better understand if and why you’re missing out on impressions so you can more easily prioritize optimization efforts.
- View new columns of data in your account, campaign, and ad-group performance reports:
- Impression Share lost due to Bid
- Impression Share lost due to Keyword Relevance
- Impression Share lost due to Landing Page Relevance
- Updated columns of data in your performance reports give you deeper insights on campaign performance:
- Rank data has been split into two new columns, Rank and Bid.
- Relevance data has been replaced with two new columns, Keyword Relevance and Landing Page Relevance.
- If you use adCenter API, visit our Community site for additional information on this change.

February
- Access the full range of adCenter features through newly supported browsers
- We want to make accessing your adCenter account easier and more flexible.
- Now can fully access your adCenter account through current versions of popular browsers — including Firefox, Chrome, and Safari — on both Mac and PC.
- We made this update because it has been a top request from advertisers in online feature-suggestion forums.
- Improve campaign performance by adding your business address and phone number to your search ad
- Now, you can elect to display Location Extensions — including your business address and phone number — on the third line of your text ad. It’s easy to enable this feature in your Advanced Settings on the Campaign tab.
- If you have multiple business locations, the location closest to the search user will be shown in the ad.
- Displaying your business location makes your ad more actionable, which may help increase leads from your ads.
- Get detailed instructions on enabling Location Extensions on our Help page.
- Save time on imports by uploading more business locations in bulk
- You can now upload up to 1,000 business locations at one time through the adCenter UI. Previously, only 50 locations could be uploaded at one time.
- This feature improvement simplifies and streamlines importing multiple business locations.
- Improve results for advertisers who use gender/age targeting
- To improve results for advertisers who target by gender and age, exclusive targeting by gender and age has been removed.
- Due to limited availability of demographic data, traffic volume for these campaigns was low, limiting their performance.
- If you have campaigns that used exclusively gender and age targeting, consider using the existing bid-boosting functionality to ensure you’re reaching your intended audience and achieving your desired results. Learn more on our blog.
