The Microsoft pubCenterBeta offers select web site owners the chance to place advertising from the Microsoft network on their web sites. All web sites submitted for consideration during this initial test phase of the pubCenterBeta will be reviewed for relevancy and fit to the program. Our goal is to provide the tools and media that enable website owners to maximize the revenue received from advertising inventory.
Not all web sites submitted for pubCenterBeta consideration will be accepted for the beta program. Web sites are evaluated on criteria such as high-quality, content-rich pages, traffic history, and target audience. Web sites that require log-ins, have little textual content or lots of animated graphics are not good candidates for the pubCenterBeta program.
Microsoft ads can be placed on the same pages as other contextual advertisements, so long as you do not have a specific exclusivity agreement with another ad network. You may limit the display of Microsoft ads to any subset of pages on your site and there is no minimum requirement for the number of ad units you implement.
We will be seeking regular feedback and suggestions from beta participants about the service, product interface, and effectiveness in generating revenue so that we can create the best program possible for all pubCenterBeta users.
- At this time, only web site owners who are based in the U.S. may participate; completing a W9 form is necessary to receive payment.
- Click rates will be closely monitored throughout the course of the pilot. Web site owners with anomalous click rates indicative of fraud will be investigated and can be removed from the program at any point and will not be paid for those clicks.
- Microsoft can make no guarantee regarding the amount of any payment you may receive for ads shown on your web site during this beta program.
- For the purposes of the test phase, you will be limited to a single account. However, you may implement ads on up to 10 approved web properties.
