The Microsoft® adCenter Fall 2009 Upgrade includes a number of new, improved, easier-to-use features that can give you better insight into, and control over, your ads and keywords. Many of these new features are just what you’ve asked for, and they’re designed specifically to help you improve campaign performance.

Top 5 Features
  • Search Query Performance Report
The Search Query Performance Report will pull reports that contain the actual queries that users perform that resulted in your ad being clicked. This report will provide you with information to help you manage your keyword lists by adding keywords that are aligned with actual user queries, in addition to identifying potential negative keywords to add.
  • Default Time Zone
The Default Time Zone feature will allow you to set a default or preferred time zone at the account level. Additionally, this feature will require a campaign level time zone to be selected in order to proceed with campaign creation if a default time zone has not been entered at the account level. This allows you to have the appropriate time zone aligned with every campaign.
  • Ad Preview Tool
The Ad Preview tool was added in advance of the Fall 2009 Upgrade, but it is being moved from the Campaigns tab to the new Tools tab with the fall upgrade. The Ad Preview tool assists you in confirming that your ads are showing on Bing without incurring unnecessary impressions or accidental clicks.
  • Agency Invitation and Termination
adCenter advertisers will be able to invite an agency to manage their adCenter account. When an advertiser invites an agency to manage their account, they will be inviting the agency to manage all of their accounts; there will be no capability to invite an agency to manage only specific accounts or campaigns.
  • Managing Multiple Accounts
The Customer Selection page included in the Fall 2009 Upgrade will ease the pain of agencies, SEMs and large organizations, and help them efficiently manage all of their accounts in adCenter.

In addition to the Top 5 adCenter features, there are some exciting new features in the fall release for adCenter Desktop, focusing on improved insights and control. The improvements include:
  • Clearer error messages. No more “Internal download error.” Error messaging in general will be more specific and detailed so you can take proper action.
  • Site exclusions. Advertisers will be able to prevent their content ads from being displayed on specific sites when using adCenter Desktop.
  • A progress bar that will accurately display the start-to-end progress of uploads and downloads.
