Try our improved content ads offering with more control over distribution and budget to enhance campaign performance.

Now is the best time to extend the reach of your existing paid search campaigns to your target audience with just a click of a button from the familiar adCenter interface. Make the most of your marketing budget by incorporating content ads into your performance media strategy today.

Control Distribution of Your Content Ads to Improve Performance
Exclude the sites you don’t want your content ads to display on with the Website Exclusion feature.
  1. From your campaign or ad group settings page, click Edit under the Campaign exclusions or Ad group exclusion section.
  2. On the pop-up Exclusion settings screen select the Websites tab.

Then enter up to 500 URLs of the sites you do not wish your ads to display on. (Note: You can have 500 exclusions at the campaign or ad group level. Ad group-level website exclusions will override campaign-level website exclusions.)

Distribute and Bid on Your Content Ads by Website Placements
For new campaigns, now you have the option to select your bid type and ad distribution by keyword (on the search network, content network, or both) or by website placements.

The website placements option is a new option for bid type and ad distribution that allows your content ads to be distributed on websites (or a single web page within a website) in the Microsoft content network.
  1. When creating a new campaign, under the Ad group settings section select the Website placements Bid type and ad distribution.
  2. After creating your ad, move to the third step of Website Placements.
  3. From the Website placements page, you can enter up to 1,000 URLs you’d like your ads to display on in the Choose website placements text box, then click View available placements.
  4. Click the checkbox in the available placements box to choose the site, or web pages within the site, you would like your ads to display on. They will be added to your Selected placements section and then click Continue.

Review Your Content Ad Performance with the New Site Performance Report
This new report will allow you to view the performance of your content ads for campaigns that use the Website Placements bid type and ad distribution option. With more visibility into your content ads performance, you can adjust distribution to help improve ROI.
