Microsoft Content Ads has officially launched out of beta, offering you an effective way to deliver relevant ads to the right people at the right time on the Microsoft content network. Try our improved content ads, with more control over distribution and budget to enhance campaign performance.
Now is the best time to extend the reach of your existing paid search campaigns to your target audience with just a click of a button from the familiar adCenter interface. Make the most of your marketing budget by incorporating content ads into your performance media strategy today.
Exclude the sites you don’t want your content ads to display on with the
Website Exclusion feature.
- From your campaign or ad group settings page, click Edit under the Campaign exclusions or Ad group exclusion section.
- On the pop-up Exclusion settings screen select the Web sites tab.
Then enter up to 500 URLs of the sites you do not wish your ads to display on. (Note: You can have 500 exclusions at the campaign or ad group level. Ad group-level web site exclusions will override campaign-level web site exclusions.)
For new campaigns, now you have the option to select your bid type and ad distribution by keyword (on the search network, content network, or both) or by web site placements.
The web site placements option is a new option for bid type and ad distribution that allows your content ads to be distributed on web sites (or a single web page within a site) in the Microsoft content network.
- When creating a new campaign, under the Ad group settings section select the Web site placements Bid type and ad distribution.
- After creating your ad, move to the third step of Website Placements.
- From the Web site placements page, you can enter up to 1,000 URLs you’d like your ads to display on in the Choose web site placements text box, then click View available placements.
- Click the checkbox in the available placements box to choose the site, or web pages within the site, you would like your ads to display on. They will be added to your Selected placements section and then click Continue.
This new report will allow you to view the performance of your content ads for campaigns that use the Website Placements bid type and ad distribution option. With more visibility into your content ads performance, you can adjust distribution to help improve ROI.
