Keith Lorizio is vice president of US Sales & Marketing for Microsoft Advertising. Keith was promoted to the role in July 2010 after leading the US sales and sales support teams, which doubled headcount and tripled revenues under his leadership over the last four years. He maintains responsibility for US sales and support while adding service, strategy, and marketing functions to his charter, bringing his organization to more than 500 professionals across the US.
Keith is accountable for the development and deployment of Microsoft Advertising’s go-to-market strategy, which assists both Fortune 1000 marketers and leading advertising agencies to drive scalable and profitable engagement with audiences across Microsoft’s media properties and network of third-party publisher sites including MSN, Bing, XBOX Live, Wonderwall, FOXSports, and Microsoft’s digital platforms including Display, Search, Branded Entertainment, Video, Advanced TV, Gaming, and Mobile.
Lorizio is a 22-year veteran of media sales and management and has spent the last 12 years working in digital. He joined Microsoft Advertising in 2006 as general manager of strategic sales where among his successes were the design and implementation of a new US market field segmentation and building a mid-market sales team that remains the fastest growing in the division today. His team also launched the first multi-screen marketing deal for a national advertiser which differentiated the company and paved the way for other marketers to connect advertising experiences across PC, Mobile, and TV screens through one publisher.
Lorizio joined Microsoft from Yahoo! Inc., where he was Vice President of Sales and built the “Emerging Brand” organization which grew to in excess of $300 million during his tenure. Before Yahoo!, Lorizio was Vice President of east coast and inside sales for AltaVista, and also served as senior director of Strategic Alliances & E-commerce responsible for negotiating large content partnerships and monetizing the Shopping.com site within the AltaVista family of companies. Lorizio began his sales career in the print advertising division of Bell Atlantic, quickly ascending into senior sales management being named director of e-Commerce for the company’s interactive product, Big Yellow in 1996.
Lorizio is active in the advertising community and serves on the Board of Directors for the Boston chapter of The Ad Club. He graduated from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont with a degree in business administration. Lorizio is based in Boston and New York City and resides in Boston with his wife and has four children.
