Edu was born in Catalunya and holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Barcelona.
His first foray into advertising was through freelancing for various companies including a gaming design studio. He then spent 6 years as a Creative Director of DOUBLEYOU in Barcelona, creating award-winning campaigns for a variety of brands including Nike, Iberia, Yahoo!, Audi, SEAT and San Miguel. Most recently, Edu has worked as a Senior Copywriter for Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Colorado where he enhanced the interactive and new media design for Volkswagen, Nike, Coca-Cola, Miller and Burger King.
Edu joined Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam in January 2008 as Creative Director to partner Joakim Borgstrom. Together they will oversee the creative for Electronic Arts, creating global campaigns for a range of gaming titles.
Edu’s work has received much critical acclaim and he has already received 4 Cyber Lion trophies including the Grand Prix for his work on Nike’s ‘San Silvestre’. Edu has received other noteworthy awards from shows including The One Show Interactive, The Clios, London International Advertising Awards, Club de Creativos, FIAP and El Sol. He is also a sought after jury member having already judged the interactive entries for more than 10 award shows around the world.
