Vera Steinhäuser is head of PKP Proximity’s digital unit in Vienna, which she has led since 2001.
After studying communication & psychology in Vienna, Steinhäuser joined Ogilvy in 1998, where she began her career in their Central and Eastern European headquarters.
Her focus turned to digital in 2000 and the following year she became head of PKP Proximity’s digital unit. She has been a founding member of the IAB Austria and is a part-time lecturer at the University St. Pölten, where she teaches online marketing.
Steinhäuser was voted “Onliner of the Year” in Austria in 2007 by a panel of leading industry experts. Several of her projects have been awarded by the Direct Marketing Association Austria, the International Echo Award and the John Capels International Award. In 2003 Vera Steinhäuser and her team won a silver Direct Lion in Cannes (Direct Lion) for a Hewlett Packard-campaign called “Andy Mehrhol”.
Her clients include: Toyota, Hewlett Packard, Nestlé and Mastercard.
