Gerdien Stevense

Art Director, These Days, Antwerp

Gerdien StevenseIn 1996 Gerdien co-founded one of the first digital agencies in Holland.  No mean feat as in this laptopless era, Gerdien and her female partner meant lugging round a big monitor, computer and lots of wires to demostrate betaversions of websites to clients.

In the years that followed, Gerdien’s focus changed from website development towards interactive advertising. After working as a creative director for almost five years in TBWA’s interactive agencies in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, Gerdien decided she wanted to focus on concept instead of directing others.

Since then, she has been freelancing as a concept developer and works primarily with These Days in Antwerp, part of the Wunderman network.  A company she loves for the combination of the down to earth atmosphere and very driven, passionate people. She never saw people work so hard as in Antwerp and this shows, These Days is now one of the leading interactive agencies in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Gerdien’s client experience includes Frisk, Nokia, Microsoft, Landrover, Mobistar, Chiquita and many others. She’s proud of the Jealous Computer campaign around the launch of the Nokia’s N95 which quality was widely recognized by shows worldwide: Epica,  Mixx Award, DMA Echo Award, Belgium Cyber Lion, New York Festivals but even more importantly by numerous blogs and consumers.
