Creative Acceptance Policy

Microsoft’s global creative guidelines apply to all Microsoft Advertising products.


The CAP guidelines offer advertisers the satisfaction of operating within a clear and consistent framework through excluding ads that are misleading or inappropriate to the Microsoft environment. By doing this, they will add to users’ enjoyment – and their propensity to engage with messages.


The policy is designed to enhance the creativity of Microsoft media channels by raising the creative bar, not restricting the creative process. By improving the end-user experience it will ensure greater success for all advertising messages through:
