Children are now back on their school benches, and so are advertisers.
In June, we enjoyed closing the season on a high at the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival. And for those who were not able to attend in person, we heard that you greatly appreciated our in-depth coverage of the event through our dedicated site. As Mel recently pointed out, after the well-deserved summer break, the advertising industry is back to business, all steam ahead, and on both sides of the Pond. This means we will have a lot to share with you.
The week commencing September 21st will indeed be rich in industry events. In New York, Advertising Week 2009, IAB Mixx and OMMA Global will keep our US cousins very busy. In London, Microsoft Advertising will also play a central role, this time at ad:tech at London Olympia on the 22nd and 23rd.
Here are just a few highlights of what to expect from us at this event:
Jordi Ribas, General Manager of the European Search Technology Centers, will share the Bing vision and provide an update on the progress made by his London-based engineers to tailor the Bing search experience to the UK market.
James Grant, video product specialist, will host a workshop on the solutions available to brands which are willing to capitalize on the growing online video consumption. It will also be the opportunity to learn more about the pilot launched by MSN UK to offer free long-form video to British viewers.
Our stand will also gather a great array of innovative technologies and advertising solutions. Ever dreamt of playing with Surface? Well, one of the tables will be waiting for you along with the opportunity to explore in-game or mobile advertising, learn about behavioral targeting or simply to have a refresher on performance networks and search advertising. Our team will be all yours, helping you explore the possibilities of digital marketing.
So whether you are in London or in NY be assured that there will be loads to learn from us, but also from this fantastically dynamic industry.
And for those who can't make their way to either of these events (maybe because you preferred to settle down in sunny Cannes), simply make sure you're following us on Twitter @MSAdvertising and become fan of our Microsoft Advertising Facebook Page. This way we'll provide you on-the-ground coverage from both London and the Big Apple!
