Do you remember that feeling you used to get, before the first day of school? That nervous excitement, and an overall feeling that you were embarking upon something big.
Welcome to the Digital Content Newfront Week.
Digital Content Newfront Week is the first of its kind, founded by six key players in the digital industry: AOL, Digitas, Hulu, Yahoo!, YouTube, and Microsoft Advertising.
On Tuesday, April 24th, Microsoft Advertising will hold its 5thAnnual Digital Showcase, now part of the Digital Content Newfront Week. Digital Showcase is designed to highlight original video programming across premier Microsoft brands such as MSN and Xbox LIVE, as well as content from partner brands, NBC News Digital and FOX Sports. Industry-leading producers and celebrity speakers will preview the programming lineup, cross media opportunities and content vision for the coming year.
The Presenter Line Up at our Digital Showcase
Microsoft Advertising has best of breed content and exclusive partnerships to develop premium content experiences across screens. But what makes us unique is that we are also a technology company and own our distribution platforms, including MSN, Windows Phone and Xbox LIVE. When Windows 8 comes out later this year, consumers will connect seamlessly across screens and devices as never before.
Back to the first day of school. The energy is palpable – never before has the digital industry collaborated at this scale to create what is essentially a Digital Upfront, designed to parallel the Broadcast Upfronts by creating a marketplace of digital opportunity. Digital and television media buyers and planners will be treated to a dizzying array of video content that is worth investing in. With increasing market fragmentation and the proliferation of screens, the advertising industry is constantly re-evaluating how best to reach consumers. Now is the time for the digital industry to take our piece of the media pie.
Our team will be tweeting from our Digital Showcase #MSADigital and the Digitas event on Thursday #NewFront so follow us at @MSAdvertisingfor all the latest from the week!
