I am thrilled to announce the independent judging panel for the U.S. portion of the Microsoft Advertising Story Awards. The awards recognize and champion innovative thinking in the world of digital marketing by challenging contestants to develop a forward-looking marketing plan for a Brand or Non-profit of their choice.
Joining me on the judging panel for the MSA’s will be six industry luminaries. These include:
- Gail Tifford, Sr. Director of Media, North America, Unilever
- Scott Kelly, Digital Marketing Manager, Ford
- Doug Scott, President, Ogilvy Entertainment
- Tony Weisman, President, Digitas
- Michael Learmonth, Digital Editor at AdAge; and
- Anna Maria Virzi, Executive Editor at ClickZ.
Each of these judges are individuals of character, accomplishment and provide inspiration for the next generation of digital marketers. We are very appreciative of their continuing support and commitment to nurturing digital marketers across the world.
Winners for the US portion of the contest will be announced in mid-April and the overall global winner will then be decided on at the beginning of June. The winning team will win a VIP trip to Cannes and be our guests for the week-long Cannes Festival of Creativity.
Since I am a bit partial to my home country, I’ll be rooting for, and expecting our US winners to take home the global prize and join me for a toast at Cannes.
