Jon gives us the inside scoop on his team and their approach to innovating campaigns in the mobile space, and talks about how they’re constantly trying to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
As he says, mobile now is so much more of robust offering with location-based services, couponing, CRM, geo-fencing and near-field communications all playing into the marketing mix with results.
Asked about the future and where we’re headed, he thinks that augmented reality is an emerging trend, with the mobile device being the inflection point in terms of location and the social graph.
On branding, he tells us to think about how engaging apps can be – sometimes more so than a regular website – and to consider the excellent rich media advertising solutions that are now out there.
Tablets are the way to go also with your branding efforts as he describes “big, beautiful, sexy well designed creative” being crucial to keeping eyeballs in your corner of the mobile space.
