David Pugh-Jones - MSFT
As the Brand Strategist for Microsoft Advertising, David’s role is to be the digital creativity architect and evangelist for creative solutions focusing on ideation and concept through to delivery of integrated and immersive brand experiences. Acting as a creative consultant advising on branded advertising solutions across the Microsoft digital portfolio including MSN, Mobile, Windows Live and Xbox platforms. Alongside this David regularly presents to key clients and agencies on creativity and the future of digital advertising showcasing new and emerging technologies from the likes of Microsoft Surface and Silverlight.
In his role focusing on brand and creative strategy over the past 5 years, David has successfully worked across initially the UK, before branching out to focus on EMEA and now finally concentrating on global market deals. Consistently challenged with understanding the digital media landscape, creative agencies ecosystems and clients advertising demands, always ensuring Microsoft is continually competitive with its concepts, ideas and solutions and driving change regarding the creativity digital perception. David has collaborated with numerous brands, advertising and creative agencies in evangelising and pushing the creative boundaries of innovation online acting as the expert in digital advertising and its ever changing possibilities.
Prior to joining Microsoft, David was Creative and Operations Director at UK female portal handbag.com where he led the successful implementation of an in-house creative, operations and account management team and was integral in the launch of handbag.com’s sister site, getlippy.com in 2004.
David began his media career in 1995 and since then he has gained over 11 years’ experience in digital advertising.
