    2. On user initiated click/hover on the 234x60 ad unit, the ad initiates to expand.
    3. After a 0.5 sec delay, the ad expands up-right to 300x 600 size.
    4. The ad closes on Mouse Off.
    5. Clicking on the expanded ad area navigates the user to the destination URL in a new window.

    How it works?

The Ad starts as regular 234x60 ad unit and expansion is user-initiated.

    Initial stage (234×60)

The Ad loads in the Half Banner 234x60 placement. When a user clicks or mouse over the Half Banner, it expands to offer an additional (or larger), video or other Rich Media experience with a 0.5 sec delay.

    Expanded stage (300×600)

The Ad remains in the 300x 600 dimension until the user leaves the expanded area. On mouse off from the expanded ad area, the Ad retracts into the initial 234x60 dimensions. Any time the user clicks/mouse over the banner 234x60 ad unit area again, the Ad will expand again with a 0.5 sec delay giving the rich media experience.

    Other Specifications

    General Creative Design Requirements

    • The Frames per second (FPS) should not exceed 18fps. Settings greater than 18fps will result in poor performance for many of our users and is not allowed.
    • Audio must be user-initiated and never automatic
    • Audio insertion into flash file may begin no earlier than the second frame.
    • If audio is used, creative must include an On/Off switch for users.
    • Animation is limited to first 15 seconds, looping is unlimited within 15 seconds. Use animation carefully: Keep animation smooth and fluid, using slow motions and gentle fades. Fast and abrupt motion has been shown to be highly irritating. Avoid experiences that 'break-through' the page or abuse the content.
    • On Click, Ad opens up target page into a new browser.
